Michael Handy holds the degrees of Bachelor of Science (Honours), Master of Science and is a Registered Forensic Practitioner (RFP) with the Council for the Registration of Forensic Practitioners in the speciality Questioned Documents. He is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Chartered Chemist.
He is a member of the Forensic Science Society, the Academy of Experts, the Expert Witness Institute and his name is listed in a number of expert witness directories.
Michael Handy undertook his formal training in the scientific examination of documents and comparison of handwriting/signatures at the Metropolitan Police Forensic Science Laboratory, London.
Since 1984 he has specialised in the scientific examination of documents and comparison of handwriting/signatures and applies sound scientific methods together with objective assessment in formulating his opinion as an expert.
Michael Handy practices as an independent document examiner and has been recognised as an expert by Courts of Law in the UK, including the High Court. He has presented oral expert evidence on behalf of the Prosecution/Claimant and the Defence/Respondent on numerous occasions and also as a Single Joint Expert. |
